Pillars of Creation updated
The image above is very famous. It was taken in 1995, by the telescope Hubble and it shows columns made of interstellar dust and gas in the Eagle Nebula, localized 7 thousand light-years away. These specific region received its name because the columns are some sort of pillars (?!) and because these are areas where stars are known to be created.
Last year a new picture was taken, once again by Hubble, but this time with a better camera. You can see the result below.
